Business Partner - Management Reporting

For this reason, they have created a new position for a senior finance professional to play a key part in the strategic growth of the organisation. The Management Reporting Business Partner will create a new management accounting workstream to complement existing external reporting in order to build capability through the collection, analysis and interpretation of key management data. Collaboration is pivotal across the organisation and the successful candidate will adopt a business partnering approach to understand their stakeholders’ business areas, to provide meaningful and pro-active insights, to support decision making and to drive action. You will design and develop fit for purpose dashboards and KPIs to drive a standard approach across European budgeting and forecasting, ensure continuous improvement, identify issues and provide solutions. This role will greatly enhance the commercial potential of the business in contributing to OpEx and CoMex projects, highlighting prospective development or cost saving opportunities.

Applicants should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience of working in management accounting within a large manufacturing organisation, ideally multi-site.
  • Previous experience of working with an ERP system to design and deploy appropriate reporting systems.
  • Strong track record in business partnering and working collaboratively with cross-functional leaders.
  • Demonstrable success of driving change through management reporting.
  • Experience of leading and developing a finance team to achieve business objectives.
  • Evidence of managing projects from concept to completion, prioritising deadlines and effectively delegating tasks.
  • Commercially minded, comfortable in making critical decisions that affect strategic issues.
  • CIMA, ACMA, ACCA qualification or progression towards is highly desirable. A degree level qualification (ideally in a data or finance related area e.g. accounting, computer science, maths, engineering, economics or statistics) is essential.
