Our client is a long-established name in its sector, boasting proud heritage and impressive success. A true omnichannel business, they continue a transformation centred on traditional offline media to a more holistic, digital first approach. They use it to deliver an extensive and curated range of products across multiple sites with the same high standards to an increasingly diverse customer base. They are wanting to continue their growth strategy by creating further value whilst maintaining exceptional brand experience in all parts of the customer journey while seeking to proactively engage their influencers. They now seek to appoint a Marketing Director to lead on marketing strategy, enhance consumer engagement and ensure our client’s story continues to evolve as it grows.

Working closely with the Managing Director, the Marketing Director will provide leadership to the Marketing, E-commerce / Digital and Customer Experience functions. They will build a high-performance culture and working environment that attracts and retains top talent. This will continue to transform the business and will ensure this is collaborative and customer focused. The Marketing Director will be a brand custodian, responsible for all brand strategies, communications, and brand loyalty, maintaining a seamless customer experience across all channels. They will create a system of actionable insights to provide ongoing analysis of customer behaviour by segment, product, and geography, to create targeted, real time, relevant customer interaction. The role holder will identify appropriate and marketable brand associations and partnerships. They will maximise these through all channels, augmenting digital success, through building SEO and PPC capability, working with external agencies where appropriate.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant experience of working at a leadership level in online, digital, and direct marketing. (including technology and process).
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, commercially driven organisation that has achieved high levels of growth
  • Experienced in recognising, implementing and driving positive change across the wider business
  • Previous experience of leading and developing a cross functional marketing team.
  • Evidence of influencing and engaging both internal and external stakeholders with a proven track record of sector leadership.
  • In depth knowledge of and a strong background in working with branded consumer goods.
  • Experience of multi-channel retailing and a solid understanding of brand stewardship in online, catalogue and direct to consumer marketing.
  • Demonstrable success in transforming a product driven consumer brand to a proactive branded business, engaging in the full consumer journey, and demonstrating the commercial value this will deliver.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior marketing professional to shape a long-standing brand as it evolves, whilst operating in a high-profile leadership role within the organisation. Please note that this role will be office based however consideration will also be given to applicants who can be based from the office 3-4 days per week.
