Operations Director

Our client is a privately owned financial services company known for its first class client service and a business model built around providing a personal, bespoke approach. They have enjoyed sustained success and attribute this to their greatest asset – their team, as well as their strong and loyal customer base. The Company has continued to grow but has not lost its agile and decisive pace, planning further ambitious growth plans for the years ahead. To support this, the Company have created a new position for an Operations Director with accountability for people and processes across all operations functions.

The Operations Director will, in short, lead, develop and continuously improve people, systems and processes to ensure operational activities are carried out to the highest possible standard. They will contribute to building a high performing culture through training, communication and ensuring people have the tools to successfully carry out their roles. They will ensure a best-in-class client service, integrating any new businesses to ensure smooth working practices. The Operations Director will have responsibility for the operational efficiencies of the Company’s sites including IT and health & safety and will oversee the provision of MI, HR and compliance.

Applicants should possess the following experiences and skills:

  • Significant experience in a senior operations role within a regulated and ideally multi-site environment.
  • A proven track record in leading and developing a high performing team, driving results and improvement in each area of responsibility, ensuring staff engagement.
  • Experience of setting key performance indicators and measuring / improving performance against these.
  • Evidence of building excellent stakeholder relationships internally and externally, delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Demonstrable success in developing and implementing innovative, effective improvements in business and people processes.
