Sales Director

Our client is a market leader, providing expertise and bespoke solutions across the breadth of Northern Ireland’s private sector. A vibrant, progressive and fast-growing company, they have built a reputable business based on a true understanding of, and solid relationships with, an enviable client portfolio. At this stage in their journey, they seek to recruit a Sales Director to their established executive team, a newly created role and a key figure in the growth and development of the company.

The Sales Director will develop, communicate and deliver a strategic plan to further grow market share and to increase revenue targets. To realise this, they will build a high-performance culture amongst client facing teams, inspiring and motivating through regular coaching, mentoring and encouraging self-development. The Sales Director will lead on client presentations, liaising with colleagues and leveraging resources to create compelling propositions that exploit the breadth of company service capabilities. Through customer and competitor analysis they will identify new market opportunities, new channels and propositions, devising targeted campaigns to increase activity and contributing to wider corporate development initiatives. The Sales Director will be act as an ambassador to the company, seeking out marketing and networking opportunities, working with creative partners on activity and collateral. This is an executive leadership appointment in the company and the role holder will collaborate effectively at Director level, contributing to the strategic development of the whole organisation.

Applicants should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience in a senior revenue generation role within consultative sales, preferably in financial services.
  • Sound knowledge of the Northern Ireland business landscape.
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching and developing a high performing team.
  • Success in developing relationships with clients, Key Business Introducers and the wider business community to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Previous experience of creating and successfully implementing business development strategies.
  • Gravitas to liaise with senior stakeholders and influence through strong communication skills, impactful messages and personal credibility.
  • A creative and original thinker who can bring fresh ideas to the table and inspire those around them.
