Tax Director (Board Appointment)

Our client is one of the world’s leading tax advisers, delivering tax incentive and innovation expertise to an impressive portfolio of clients globally. At the core of their business is a highly skilled team consulting with accounting peers and their clients to bring technical specialism, resource, a more comprehensive service and therefore more value added to their clients. Due to growth and increased opportunity, they have created a new Board appointment for a Tax Director to play a key part in the direction and development of the Company.

The Tax Director is a new leadership hire with the principal aim of providing Corporate Tax expertise to their team, the wider business and to clients. The role holder will be an integral part of the senior management team, contributing to and driving business strategy, operations and new ventures. They will maintain and extend the strong relationships the Company already hold with accountancy firm partners and will also seek to build upon this, leveraging the Company’s position, partnerships and marketing resources to further enhance its profile.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience of working at an executive level within the Corporate Tax arena.
  • Evidence of effectively leading a high performing and ideally multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of contributing to business strategy and of developing strong internal relationships to ensure a collegiate and collaborative leadership team.
  • Natural networking and interpersonal skills to cultivate mutually profitable connections at a senior level.
  • Ideally exposure to R&D tax credits and the opportunity this can bring to companies.
  • CTA qualified.

Please note that the role holder will have UK-wide responsibility and the role can be undertaken as a hybrid or flexible working arrangement depending on the successful candidate’s requirements.
