Narratology is leading the search for a Head of Capital Development & Design on behalf of our client, a highly successful multi-site group. The organisation has invested significantly in innovation, operations and acquisitions and, as such, have created this new appointment to support further growth ambitions.
The Head of Capital Development & Design is a newly created appointment with responsibility for leading the end-to-end delivery of the organisation’s annual retail capital programme across new builds, refurbishments, rebrands and upgrades. This will involve accountability for projects from feasibility through to sign-off, preparing capital investment plans for Board submission and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, safely, and to an exceptional customer-focused standard.
This role will lead the evolution of store design standards and drive store design innovation in layout, flow, signage and merchandising, piloting new concepts across retail trading and sustainability. It will also have responsibility for maintenance and capital cost control, managing the supplier and contractor base to ensure quality and delivery of work and services. The Head of Capital Development & Design appointment is a key senior leadership role in the Group requiring exceptional people, stakeholder and project management capability.
